Coan in the Community

- 3:00 pm - January 12th, 2018

It takes the right combination of reliability, integrity, professionalism and expertise for any company to stay in business for more than 70 years. From our humble beginning in 1946 as a small gasoline station on Lincoln Square in Natick to our rise into the home heating oil business, the most important person to the Coan family has been and always will be the customer. As a local company, our customers are also members of the Greater Boston and Metrowest area community. And so, our dedication also extends to our community.

We’re always glad to give back to our community by way of getting involved and backing various organizations that benefit our customers. Here are a few of the organizations that Coan Oil has supported, and what they do for our area:

  • Natick Service Council: An advocacy, referral, case management and information center serving the most economically disadvantaged members of our community. The Council helps clients meet basic needs for food, housing and access to health care with the goal of promoting self-sufficiency.
  • A Place To Turn: An agency committed to providing emergency food and clothing to residents of the Metrowest community.
  • South Middlesex Opportunity Council: The Council’s mission is to improve the quality of life of low-income and disadvantaged individuals and families by advocating their needs and rights; providing services; educating the community; building a community of support; participating in coalitions with other advocates and searching for new resources and partnerships.

Our dedication to our customers is especially evident during critical moments such as earlier this month, when Natick and the surrounding areas endured more than 13 inches of snow and record-low temperatures. As a result, the demand for fuel hit record highs. Throughout the storm and in the days after, our dedicated team worked around-the-clock to deliver fuel and make repairs.

We’re still working hard to catch up to those customers who may have experienced a delay due to the storm, and we will be out on the roads until our whole community can stay safe and warm – you can count on that because our customers have counted on us for so many years. If you have any questions or need assistance with your heating system or fuel delivery, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
